Exciting line-up of entertainment confirmed for Mablethorpe Illuminations 2013
Mablethorpe’s annual illuminations switch on event is set to light up the resort on Saturday, July 27.
As well as an action-packed day time of entertainment including Street Theatre, face painting and classic car displays, there will be an evening of exhilarating performances from local bands and musicians, including Trip the Roses and The War Birds.
The final performance of the evening will go off with a bang with a high energy and exciting performance from contemporary dance group, Nutkhut at 9.45pm, followed by traditional Mablethorpe fireworks.
The event has been organised and funded by East Lindsey District Council in partnership with Mablethorpe Town Council, Mablethorpe Area Partnership and Mablethorpe Tourism Forum.
Portfolio Holder for Culture, Leisure and Tourism at East Lindsey District Council, said: “The Illuminations switch-on day is a traditional part of the tourism offer in Mablethorpe and this year’s illuminations will be a fantastic event with lots of activity throughout the day for everyone to enjoy - it is set to be a day to remember.
